Great Outdoors:Part One (Discoveries)

We just returned from our annual group camping weekend in the Smoky Mountains. As always, it was balm for my soul! I feel so blessed to have this special event, where my children have true freedom in nature. They rode bikes in the pouring rain, caught salamanders, crayfish and butterflies, ate when they were hungry, slept when they were tired, invented things, told stories, discovered mysteries, baked mud pies and played in the creek to their hearts' content. So much beauty to take in, it filled my senses with happiness.
