Week in Pictures

Oh, so much to be grateful for. Life is so busy this time of year, I find it hard to take the necessary moments to enjoy it all. After a long week of stomach flu, we all felt so thankful to share beautiful meals with the our family. Thank you, Barbara and Dave, for hosting. It was so nice to relax and unwind with family. I got plenty of time to knit, read and sip tea contentedly. So, here are a few of our completed projects and photos of the cute cousins. Thank you, Aunt Jude, for the festive children's table decoration and costume.

Emily, your photos are so warm and inspiring as always!

I've just discovered Noro yarns and I'm so in love with them! You picked beautiful colors. Oh, and the jackets turned out so cozy-looking, can't wait to knit some for my kids as well :)

Hi

You have a lovley blog and I adore the handwarmers. Where did you get the yarn from and I would love a copy of the pattern. I showed it to Thomas [6] and he wants a pair for Winter. Thanks for dropping by my blog and for inspiring me.

Thank you all for the lovely comments. Zencrafter, I have yet to post the "six random things" but I hope to do it! I am waiting for life to slow down a bit so that I can think straight!

Carle, I hope that you got my e-mail about the hand warmers. They are Noro yarns, and the pattern is very simple. I can't find my copy at the moment, but basically, you cast on 36 stitches (or I did 30 for kids size) and divide among 3 size 8 double pointed needles, then start knitting in the round in 2k, 2p rib pattern. Once you get to the desired length where the thumb will be, you cast off 4 stiches in pattern, then the next round you cast them on again and continue in pattern until desired finger height. They are wonderfully simple - I hope to make many more pairs!
